Special Counsel Robert Mueller has concluded his investigation of possible collusion involving President Trump and Russia, with all signs pointing to clear the president. But apparently that’s not good enough for 2020 candidate Beto O’Rourke.
Mueller’s report was handed over to Attorney General William Barr with the adage that no further indictments would be requested. Most people would see this as a sign that there are no crimes to act upon.
However in the O’Rourke’s case, the Democrat has taken to dismissing the report entirely and declaring collusion anyway.
During a campaign in South Carolina, O’Rourke told the audience that Trump, “beyond a shadow of a doubt, sought to, however ham-handedly, collude with the Russian government, a foreign power, to undermine and influence our elections.”
You can hear the baseless claims in the clip below:
President Trump has previously admitted that he would “love to have Beto” as a 2020 challenger. With the candidate refusing to believe the evidence right in front of him, it’s easy to see why.
