Even though Trump’s State of the Union speech has been heralded as his best yet, causing a huge bump in his approval rating, some people just aren’t going to share in the joy.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer looks to have become quite bitter with Trump’s soaring approval, attacking the president’s speech as “political, divisive, calculating, even nasty at times.”
With recent polls showing that America as a whole approved of Trump’s message, Schumer would rather continue to play the party lines and his only positive criticisms where of the Democrats response to the address.
“I think Stacey Abrams showed the President what real leadership was last night. She was thoughtful, caring,” Schumer claimed.
All in all Schumer’s remarks easily add up to the kind of talk you expect from someone whose feeling sore after a loss.
