The United States was dealt a severe blow when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that abortions would be permitted up to the actual moment of birth. But pro-life organization, Focus on the Family, is taking a monumental stand against the decision.
The group has launched it’s “See Life Clearly” campaign, the largest pro-life effort to be undertaken by the group.
The big draw of the movement is that on May 4th it will air “Alive From New York,” which will use the giant monitors of Times Square to broadcast live 4d ultrasounds.
A statement released by the organization detailed that, “we’re looking to fill Times Square with pro-life Americans, and it will feature live music, compelling and inspirational speakers, and best of all, live 4D ultrasounds broadcast on a massive digital marquee in Times Square, powerfully showing the world that a baby inside the womb is fully human and should be given the chance to be born.”
Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, shared how the display would be impossible for deniers to ignore.
“We’ll have great speakers. We’re going to have music, but we’re also going to do a live ultrasound of a third-trimester baby. And with the 4D technology that we have, it looks like a picture of a 1-year-old,” Daly shared with CBS News. “There is no way a person is going to be able to say, ‘That is not a child.’ It is a child and we want everybody to see it.”
Daly also admitted that the recent events regarding the shocking acceptance of abortion as the call to action that cause his organization to step up.
“I think what’s happened in New York and Virginia has prompted a response,” Daly said. “These politicians that have overreached, in our opinion, when it comes to reshaping the abortion debate.”
