Consequences are starting to appear for celebrities that have been found to be involved with the college bribery scandal that was recently exposed.
Hallmark’s cable channel has announced that is “saddened” to have to drop actress Lori Loughlin from its network. Loughlin is under scrutiny for allegedly making large payouts in order to force her daughters acceptance into the University of Southern California.
She isn’t the only one being punished either. Her daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli has also suffered since the news broke. Cosmetic company Sephora shared that a deal involving Giannulli would be canned.
These ramifications though shouldn’t come as a surprise in what officials are dubbing the “largest college admissions scam ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice.”
More penalties are sure to accrue as other high profile couples, like acting pair Felicity Huffman and husband William H. Macy.
